Reverb like Valhalla VintageVerb or Lexicon 224?
What's the best reverb plugin for Halls (2-3 sec) for vocals / guitars in the digital vintage Lexicon style ?
I do not like so much the internal Logic stuff and Pro R so far, so I'd better ask before purchasing more stuff.. I also have the blue Magoo and use that for big guitars but I really miss an expensive sounding Lexicon style reverb
Merry Xmas

There are tons of free convolving reverb IR (Impulse Response) files you can download online to use in any compatible reverb plugin you may have. And if you're already using Logic Pro, you don't need to get a third party plugin. Just import and use what you find online into Logic's "Space Designer" reverb. It's great.
Here are a few places to start:

And there was an entire thread about this previously:

@NeuM
Thanks a lot
However I tend to get sucked to much in to samples / ir and the management and testing of them, so I would prefer a reverb app that could do an expensive hall reverb
Are you sure you've looked at all of the hall effects in Logic Pro?
You may try AD480 by Fiedler... which is not exactly what the name suggests, but I‘ve had good results with it on guitar.
Important: the 2 leftmost sliders interact and have sweet spots, tweaking recommended.

Isn’t this IAA only? If OP is using Logic that won’t really help him unfortunately.
Yes it is... oops, sorry missed that point completely
Eos2 is worth a look. Based on Algos by the Valhalla guy.
Chromaverb in Logic may be worth revisiting I think. I didn’t like it at the start as the presets aren’t generally to my taste.
However. If you roll your own, it’s capable of lush sounds and it’s really easy to programme.
My tip to make it sound better — at least to my ears — is go to the advanced tab and change the balance of early/lates so there’s not too much of the earlies.
You can actually switch algos without it changing your settings so once you’ve dialled in the main size/decay settings you can switch through the main algos to find the best sound. Roll of some bass in the eq section or make a cut in the low mids (get rid of 300-400 hz mud) and it can sound pretty lovely.
But the secret weapon is turning down the early reflections which can reduce/eliminate any metaliciness that a lot of the presets have.
DDMF ERS 250 would be an option. It's an emulation of a vintage digital reverb.
Stay away from it, it’s not working well, weird latency issues and the dev does not respond.
+1 EOS2
closest to Valhalla
wasn't there a free one from audiokit?
i thought the algorithm or parts of it was from valhalla dsp.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I downloaded Eos and yes it's great. It was crazy cheap though - nice but weird considering the quality
Weird somehow I cannot get the Logic reverbs to sound like how I like to hear reverb and the same goes for R-verb - that one also makes me scratch my head
