Mc707 scene sync with loopy

edited December 2023 in Hardware

To whom it may consern, i discovered that loopy pro syncs wonderfully with the 707. It is actually the only app that does it.
the scenes on 707 sync with loopy’s “play groups”. So you can “extend” the number of 707 tracks in loopy
Just make a button in loopy that configured to play a clip group, and set it up to receive PC from 707, channel 16.
Now when you switch a scene in 707, loopy will play the corresponding “play group”
Works great!

Would love it to work with drambo also, if drambo can sync to PC, it could be reallly powerful and pair well with alot of Hw.. roland, elektron etc..

  • Sync with Drambo already works using MIDI Clock and clip scenes can be launched by MIDI CC or notes. I would just reserve a MIDI channel for clip/scene control.

    Yes i know of this but this is not as smooth as just sync with scene change without any preconfigured clips or empty channel

    I think by sync, OP means choose a set of clips and play then with a single PC event. Seems like something that might be possible to set up.

  • Yes as i wrote “scene change sync”
    Mc 707 scene 1 -> loopy clip group 1

    Mc 707 scene 2 -> loopy clip group 2
