FleshEater - Industrial Rave Punk from Someone Who Can’t Scream
So I learned that tempo change is super easy in Logic (thanks @tahiche)! After playing around with it a bit, I made something where the tempo doubled in the build up. Quite a twist if you ask me 😜
Once again, it’s a mix of a bunch of my favourite genres from punk to darkwave and hyperpop. I was a bit worried the whispery singing style would get lost in the mix, but it turned out decent I think. A win for my tender vocal cords! The lyrics are literally just me being frustrated with people I know remaining silent against oppression, so it’s definitely a bit political as well.
Main instruments used are Mariana, Factory, Hammerhead, and GeoShred. Thanks for listening!

Very cool! I dig the gradual tempo change. I’m gonna have to try that. I like the lyrics in that you expressed frustration, but didn’t take sides. Let the listener figure it out for themself. It opens the door to reasonable discussion. Something that we seem to have forgotten. Well done!
Yes!
Love the intro. And I like the way you move everything into kinda industrial towards the end. I think a solid hard drop somewhere might add some more flare to it, especially since you are changing the tempo up and down through out the song.
Great job with the genre blending!
10000% right up my alley. Excellent!
really good!! bit of KMFDM,Depeche Mode, nine inch nails. i dig it. more like this please
what did you use for drums? they sound great
That’s a very interesting way to look at it, thanks for your insight! This is an open book of a track for sure. In the future I definitely want to be more direct in the lyrics.
Thank you! Totally, I was feeling like it needs something to create more impact so I’m glad you mentioned that! I might even extend it a bit to make it more club-friendly.
Thanks dude!! It’s cool how we share a bit of the same taste in music 🌐😎
More to come for sure!! You’re the second person to mention NIN/Trent Reznor. I never really listened to them growing up but it’s cool to know who came before 🙏
For the drums it’s just good ol’ Linn with stock Logic compressor and reverb. Delay for the “ghost notes” and Combustor for the crunch! Definitely automate or modulate Combustor to create movements
Thanks Proppa! Happy holidays 😄
