EG Nodes - Pre-Release Demo - Clip-Based Host & Midi Sequencer - Generative Moods - No Talking

Here is a nice chilled vibe made with EG Nodes.
I am really enjoying EG Nodes, it's very intuitive and easy to use/
I used Spelldosa, Free Vibes, King Of Digital, FAC Drumkit, Membrini Doubler, Quantum Delay, Blackhole and Cascade.
There is a no talking in this video, just the app, but you will get a good idea of what is going on as I open the various pages being used.
I hope you enjoy the video.

  • Useful to see it in action like that, thank you Doug @thesoundtestroom.

  • Great demo. Thank you.

  • <3 Thank you.

It’s capable of so much, really impressive app, and I suspect it will get better and better.

  • Heyyy…wait a minute. FAC Drumkit doesn’t have a sequencer. Are you sequencing with EG Nodes or another MIDI AU? Apologies, I can’t see the details on my phone.

  • @Blipsford_Baubie I’m using EG Nodes to sequence FAC Drumkit, I’m using the Rhythm Node.
It also include maps for other Drum Apps

Nodes has various different sequencer built in. Drums, synths, drone options, generative sequencers, etc.

  • Great demo Doug! And I agree Nodes is fantastic!

  • Looks like this could replace a few apps I currently use with one that has broader functionality.

  • Nice! @HotStrange and Doug. Seems a very intuitive way to quickly get something going without a saved template.

100%. Probably one of the quickest and most intuitive ways to start a track that I’ve ever used. Highly recommend this one.

Yes, super fast workflow, the choice of Nodes makes adapting to your own particular workflow very straightforward, it’s all very impressive.

  • Does it have a song mode?

It's a really fantastic and powerful app. Thank you for your demonstration, it reveals a lot. Especially when it’s made in the middle of your inspiring music-making process. 🤩

From what I see it reminds me of the Ampify Groovebox workflow, but with plug-ins and other advanced goodness. In other words, my dream app.

Cant wait to see more vids, because there is no info outside of ab posts…Not even on EGs website or his YT, besides the short teaser vid.
How would you use Nodes inside of Logic? Not being able to host auv being and auv and for now without audio (rendered) tracks. Do we go standalone mainly or treat it as a AUM companion for the sequencing part and other timeframe based parameters?
    Enlighten me please

Inside Logic you’d still have access to all of Nodes sequencers so you’d use it the same way you would in AUM or any other host. It has multiple sequencers and arps you can take advantage of.

It’s mostly an AU host like AUM, Audiobus, etc so standalone is probably the main use, yes.

Do you know if Nodes would be able to operate as a MidiFX inside Logic, or just as an instrument focused on its own internal sounds?

I saw someone post a video using it in Logic so should be fine. I don’t have Logic installed to test but it works fine in other hosts like AUM, Cubasis, and Loopy Pro :)

  • Very nice, looking forward to use it. Thanks for the vid!

Thanks! Noodling in standalone looks like a lot of fun to get some stuff started, waiting for some export option and off we go.

Export as in record natively in-app and export that?

  • I’m thinking this will be perfect for midi duties in loopy pro whilst waiting for midi loops. I’m currently using Drambo but it’s all a bit fiddly. I like the idea of a dedicated node for sequencing drums.

Thanks as usual for iPhone support @ElliottGarage

Yes, that would be nice to use takes inside a linear DAW.
You said that inside Logic, Nodes can be used for sequencing. So we load it as a midi fx?
