Found a new app to record and paste sound—SoundPaste

edited December 2023 in Desktop

Record system sound, paste directly into Logic (or any other DAW). It’s $7.99 and I haven’t tried it.

Here is the description.

Looks like it would be useful if you sample from the web. Maybe we will get an iOS version some day.

Not sure how you’d get the convenience of a key command and a pop up on iOS, but it’s a cool idea for desktop.

  • Probably can't be made to work on iOS. Desktop has far more flexibility of audio routing. As far as I know the only way to record web audio in an app is to have it host a browser within itself. System audio can only be recorded via screen recording as far as I know.

  • Is anyone using this? I came across it today and it looks pretty handy

  • I’d like a something on Ios that simply. you press record, it recognizes if it is a bass sound, an hi hat, a brass instrument, a pad, a lead, ambient sound, snare. etc. an automatically organize wav files into thier respective categories. And then have a cloud like XO on desktop. where you can just drag your mouse pointer through all the sounds, like your hands through grass; and find the best sample for whatever your current project needs
