EG Nodes - Clip-Based Host/MIDI Sequencer - EG Nodes Does Jazz

Another EG Nodes example, this time with a bit of a Jazz vibe.
I used Chordjam as a midi fx, Korg Module played the piano, Swam Trumpet, SynthMaster One, FAC Drumkit, Blue3 Organ, Blue Mangoo Compressor, DDMF 6144 EQ and Eventide Blackhole.
I'm loving Nodes.

  • Amazing… and it’s just Version 1.

iBassist would have glued it… 😇 Thanks..

  • Looks like fun - what did you have sequencing the drums? The colors are a tad depressing - will there be options to modify or select palettes?

Loving Nodes over here as well Doug! Usually AUM is always the first host I pull up but Nodes has really gotten ahold of me lately 😂 it’s so simple and easy to work with. Very stable right now too.

Great demo BTW! That Blue3 organ sounds great. I went with VBM3 myself but both are top tier.

  • Our of curiosity, does nodes have Ableton link?

  • @RonnieOmelettes I played the drums in with my midi keyboard into a Piano Roll Node.
Although, Nodes does have a dedicated Rhythm Node that you can use to input notes into a grid.
As of yet, you can’t change the colour scheme but, each Node has a different colour.

  • @HotStrange Yeah, the VBM3 is excellent too, we are spoilt for choice 😂

Can you record into the rhythm node grid? Or just input?

  • You can record only in piano roll node that offers more complex solutions.
The other nodes (rhythm, sequencer...) are designed to be fast and easy for manual input

  • Just a few question about internal audio routing for mixing and and live usage
1 - Is there any send bus
2 - is possible to group tracks using aux
3 - Does it support multi out instruments / effects
4 - is it possible to use side chain
5 - is it possible to chains songs or load songs on midi message?

  • I planned to add audio bus (and consequently also sidechain) after the release when I will publish a roadmap with user requests.
