Contemplation On The Ineluctable Passage Of Time
More SWAM horns. Euphonium, Trumpet, Flugelhorn plus BeatHawk Cellos and ISymphonic Strings. Shoutout to Aaron Copeland for reimagining the American orchestral voice.
Happy New Year everyone!

Lovely composition. A bit sad. I love how those strings sound. Really rich and full. Also like the little tail you put on the horn. It really pops nicely when the strings drop out.
I don’t think I have ever used “ineluctable” in a sentence. Sadly, I can see many uses for it now as the days roll by. I am trying to rekindle a few memories of my own younger days. I found a little piece that I did when I was about sixteen. I don’t know if I have improved that much since then! I just have more toys.
I hope you two have a wonderful New Year!
That’s the title I would have chosen.Inexorability, opposed to fate, has always been a topic that had strong influence on me. You perfectly rendered that tension: each next one couldn’t have been different. I noticed from the second bar your music was already in my head before I could ear it. Powerful feat.
Language is riddled with Latin roots. Medicine and the law are rife with Latin based terms.
As a courtesy to laymen this word led to a synonym: inescapable. That “in” prefix and its course “ir” still persist. I find them irritating and indecisive. Slowly, better alternates are replacing them.
Did you perchance study Latin at any point?
Regardless ng the music… it sounds like you played the string first or maybe used Cubasis to play segments of clipped audio. Is this one a departure from your usual workflow that used more editing to construct a layer to play the horn over?
Thanks for listening on the first day of the year @Paulieworld @jo92346 and @McD.
I laid down th3 strings first and then the horns. Not much editing on the strings but always edit more with horns, cutting out 7neanted phrases, note.
I have greatly enjoyed your latest pieces with their emphasis on horns. I don’t typically hear a lot of horns in my regular rotation of music. It’s been a welcome addition.
Thx @MadeofWax not a lot of horns is right. Ironic how we waited with baited breath for iOS SWAMs.
My dog found the last few molecules of peanut butter at the end of the kong nearly ineluctable.
I’m in 2024 now with my listening and it’s good to know that your not slowing down. Lovely sounds 👌
Thanks, @GeoTony. 28 albums to go before I hang up my spurs.
Are you gonna stop releasing once you release the last 28?
@HotStrange. It’s very possible I’ll hang up my spurs and take up knitting 😎
