Anything like NoiseShaper?

I’ve just watched a video where they use NoiseShaper on desktop to load in a sample, then use the envelope follower to add the sample ans an extra sound on top of a synth or drum hit.

Do we have anything like this on iOS? If we do I probably have it and don’t even realise it! I’m sure Drambo can do it.

You could use RN1 Wave Modulator to achieve this. Use Noises as your source.

Sure, use an envelope follower to control the noise or sample level. Need more help?

    Here’s the video

It’s got an excellent break down of the drum processing. He uses NoiseShaper to add hiss to the synth pad as well. Wish I’d seen this a long time ago!

Thanks for the tip for RM-1. It’s one of the Kai Aras apps I don’t have.

Any other app suggestions that could do this?

Have you looked into Fosfat from Caelum Audio?

    Do you mean Klevgrand?

Does look like my kind of app and helps with what I’m trying to do.

I think the Drambo solution is probably the way to go.

I thought I could muddle through in Drambo but can’t work out how to trigger the sampler to play at the start of the envelope.

  • You could also use FAC Envolver to trigger MIDI / use it as an envelope follower.

Yep, love FAC Envolver. Just always a bit of a pain to setup and I think Drambo will be more elegant here (if I can figure it out)

  • Klevgrand’s Fosfat provides two assignable frequency targets: one for noise and one for sub. It’s incredibly effective though fairly limited.

Drop your question at http://forum.beepstreet.com/discussions and you’ll get some help very quickly. I’m sure of it.

  • If you have Drambo, here is something I built a while ago, you can layer different noise samples and trigger them setting the thresholds and filters

If you send me a (zipped) sample of the audio you want to trigger from, I can fine tune it for you.

  • Thanks @sharifkerbage and @rs2000

    Will take a look.

There’s a definite gap for a plugin that does this outta the box I feel.

I find it too easy to just sequence the samples on top so I haven't used this method much. Sequencing also gives me much more precise control.

I know what you mean. It just looks like such a neat workflow to quickly layer up some extra sounds that play on top, like the synth pad example in the video. I could just send the midi to multiple synths and bus them easily enough I guess. It’d just be nice to have this in the toolbox.
