Clean, lean and totally obscure… but designed for your workflow.
When word reaches me that @michael has added MIDI recording, I will commit. Until them I will just wait and marvel at the results.
I was so close to being excite about a new work flow by recording clusters of Riffler Flows into LK when I reached the 4th
MIDI instance and the whole app crashed and I thought “when will Loopy Pro add MIDI?” The Imaginando folks have moved on from LK to BAM and BAM doesn’t quite match my approach to layered performances.
Loopy Pro is still the likely winner in a robust platform for building interfaces that produce good results from the hundreds of
AUv3’s I own.
If not… Logic Pro as Plan B. My money is on @Micheal. Apple takes forever to patch holes. @michale is a lot faster assuming Australia doesn’t burst into flames again or his kids take him offline as they tend to do.
How is this done, do you have a controller to start/stop the recording?
Lovely. I can close my eyes and listen to this for hours.
@McD @Ailerom @Paulieworld : thanks for listening! I am glad you liked it.
@Ailerom asked
An iK Blueboard (Bluetooth 4-pedal footswitch) is being used. I only used 3 of the switches.
One pedal triggers the selected loop. One pedal selects the next loop. One pedal toggles modulation effects with a hold and toggles between guitar tones with a short tap.
The trigger button is context sensitive. Its action depends on what the loop is currently doing.
I also used an onscreen button a few times to retrospective record (which records what was just played even though no clip was in record mode when I played).
The project is a as variation of a template I posted on patchstorage.
Thanks for that. I don't get much joy from looping apps. Guess I need a controller.
@Ailerom : a foot controller makes a lot of difference -- even when not looping. It lets me have a stompbox like experience with my effedts. FWIW, a lot of the time I am just using loopy as a host/pedal board and not looping or recording -- and a lot of the recording is using Loopy as a linear recorder.
If cost is a consideration, the M-Vave chocolate is a solid little unit and not expensive.
Hey that's awesome, thanks very much for the alternative option.
+1 @Paulieworld 🙏
Thanks!
