Can I use a Machine MK2 with an Ipad?

Found a Machine MK2 on Craigslist for 40 bucks. Seems like a pretty good deal but I'd only really have a use for it if I can use it on the ipad. I can't find much info out there about this for some reason because it's all about different models

  • No, maschine(s) are not class compliant , they can't even work on midi mode on desktop without installing software

  • Damn, and there's no sofrware on the ipad that works with machines? Thanks for answering

unfortunately not . Only Windows/Mac (and some hacks on Linux translating the Maschine's HID protocol to midi)
For budget pad controller check lpd8 , it's descent

  • Maschine+ can do midi but it’s an expensive device for what it can do (and can’t do)

Needs to be tethered to a computer with Maschine software to go into MIDI mode then mapped, not worth the trouble.
