MIDI sequencer AU that will advance through sequence on note input… Like a modular gate seq
It’s been a while since I poked into this… Is anyone aware of a sequencer where you program in the note values, and then sequencer will advance on a midi note input (a la modular gate seq world) and use the midi note input note on/off for gate length?
Please don’t suggest building one in Drambo 😜

Never mind… Totally forgot @artkerns made MIDISTEPs into an AU!
Atom2 I think also
MIDIDreams supports this as well.
Only for step input recording, I think.
Shows how long it’s been since I was sequencer shopping! I had no idea he made that! @artkerns is such a freaking awesome dev. He’s like the Lego maker for music. MIDILFO’S, MIDIgates, etc. all are by far the best tools to wrangle midi on iOS. Other than Drambo, I know, I know…
I’d love to see him make an on screen controller app. Like KB-1, but with his take on ui/ux. KB-1 is such a kludge.
Glad you found your answer.
Any of the miRack sequencers, and also the Hypno Sequence Mozaic script will do this too. Drambo too, if you add a sequencer module, then connect the clock to a trigger input.
Yup, but for what I want, those are all too high “overhead” to just throw into a project. Kinda like taking the Ferrari down the block to get groceries.
Unless you're trying to impress the lady at the checkout counter.
