Midi Bank Changes in DigiStix from Loopy Pro

Does any one know how to send midi bank change commands to DigiStix from a Loopy Pro widget? I believe it can be done by sending a "Custom MIDI String" message. Like B0 00 00 C0 00 00 but I can’t any references to the appropriate bank numbering scheme. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Bank change commands are regular CC commands. You don't need custom midi string...which is primarily there to send sysex. Bank change cc numbers are CC00 and CC32.

  • @Lamuzica : does the digistix documentation list which bank change commands it responds to? Some need both CCO and CC32 and some only need one or the other. And a lot of AU don't respond to either.

  • @espiegel123 Thank you. I’m a newbie so sorry in advance for silly questions. The options I have regarding CC commands between 00-32 are “CC0 (bank select coarse), CC1-31 (blank), CC32 (bank select fine). I also have a value slider that goes from1-127. It’s still not clear what the specific numbers would be for DigiStix to change between banks “Default”, “GM”, and “User”. Thoughts? Other than I’m an idiot. 😳 Much appreciated.

@espiegel123 - the info above is in reference to inside Loopy Pro. In the DigiStix manual the only reference is to “patterns” - (You can change the drum pattern remotely using MIDI CC20 values 0-23 which represent the 24 patterns available). No reference to banks.

DigiStix may not use bank change commands. I don’t own it. Hopefully someone that has it will be able to tell you.
