I need to do more testing/fiddling. I was able to record MidiSequencer into MTS during the short time I had during lunch today, but it took some fiddling. Being able to use Xynthesizr in the same way would be nice. I hope to give some things a try this weekend, but please post your MIDI connection experiences here if you have a moment!

Cool thing about recording Xynthesizr midi into MTS is you can set it up to record (all at once) each octave of Xynthesizr into a different MTS track by assigning different midi channels to each. This is also true of recording Genome Midi Sequencer into MTS.

That is VERY clever. I'll have to try it.

I never got on with GMS. at ALL.

I do have Caramel, it's very tasty, and like all the Holderness items, the interface is killer for iPad. Also check out Squashit- smart interface, great flavors of crunch

^I know it's sacrilege, but I'm not a huge fan of the interface on the multi-effect Holderness App (can't remember what it's called). I never understand what's going on. lol.

Crystalline, though, i like (for the most part)

It's pretty easy, actually. In Xynthesizr in the midi setup just set the channels for whichever octaves your using to channel 1,2,3, etc. Then in MTS you set up your midi channel for each track in the 'instrument' button. Make sure the channel numbers correspond to what you set up in Xynthesizr. Note you can't access the channel box if an IAA instrument is loaded.

  • ^ I had just never thought to give it a try. a lack of imagination of a different type.

  • Left a new Q on the MTS board for those interested. Didn't want to "pollute" the AB board. :)
