Requiem for a butterfly. Some acoustic guitar in LP4i
Edited the levels a little bit in the bandcamp version and time stretched to small “intro”:
Re recorded a lot of it, time stretched what I had to play slower, cleaned up the recording:

A huge lot of edits to compensate my poor guitar skills, the guitar bad tendency to loose it’s tuning, the noisy area, including a bunch of raven that decided to have some fun time on the roof. Took me hours when a real guitarist would have done it in 5minutes.
Also couldn’t get rid of the shhhhhhhhh from the recording, so I just added more noise in the tape simulator. Lazy me.

Beautiful progression. Reminded me of zither music and the film ‘The Third Man’.
Great!
That's funny, I was kinda about to suggest for that "Distant Sun" album that if something is missing it's a guitar (sometimes) - although I was thinking more of David Gilmoure style solos... and now, you magically appear with a guitar😂😂
@myapologies @Pxlhg Thank you guys for taking the time to listen.
I wish I could play anything even remotely close to a Gilmoure style solo. I can barely play very basic shit without cheating with the edits.
I would have worked on the acoustic part if you had asked gently 😉
Being a fairly good finger style player, I think 5 minutes even for a very accomplished guitarist is an overstatement. Some parts you wrote can be tricky to play. Great job. What guitar did you use?
Thanks @jankun. The guitar is a cheap one I got to r3cord these few pieces and a couple more still in my head. Photos here https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/59284/metropolis-four-a-bonus-track-for-dreams-of-a-distant-sun#latest
I'll listen to Metropolis 4 later. Thanks for sharing
@jo92346 beautifully done!
Thank you @Schmotown
Lovely @jo92346! Nice to hear you play guitar.
Thanks @pbelgium. When I’m grown up I want to play like you so I don’t have to cheat with tons of edits.
New version that I like much more: https://josephbalson.bandcamp.com/track/requiem-for-a-butterfly
Love butterflies, loved this. Next you’ll be saying that your bagpipe playing is only average 😊
Thank @GeoTony. Bagpipes you say? I’ve seen a very cheap one on Amazon, I should try that.
