Adding half a second silence at the beginning of an export?

Is it possible to add like half a second silence at the beginning of an export? Something easy which wouldn’t require to move all the tracks and automations to the right by a 4th?

I'm not a Logic expert, but If moving the whole arrangement including automation is not an easy (at most three-tap) operation in a DAW, then I won't use that DAW 😄 (sorry, I know, not helpful!)

  • It is easy, but it sucks. Having to put all back where it was when I need to edit again sucks. And it isn’t clean and neat. Don’t like that. Wish there was some kind of an option at export that I missed or another trick. Opening the export in an audio editor and adding that silence is easy too, but it also sucks too.

  • You could use a wave editor on the exported file and save yourself that hassle of doing it before exporting

  • Ah, I see now that you don’t like that either.

You could try using a delay on the master set to a single repeat with a half second delay time, full wet.
(Not a Logic user, so I assume it has a master track that you can add FX to. If not, then nevermind.)

Mmm that should work, thanks for the tip!
