Spring Reverb AUv3 with drip
I’m looking for a nice (surf) spring reverb AUv3 with that “drip” sound when playing guitar. Anyone?
Comments
Audiothing Springs. Plenty of the models got the drizzle
Thanks @Icoustik will check it out
Spiringverb is very cheap and sounds good.
+1 for Audiothing Springs. Lots of vintage models to choose from, lots of drip!
Another vote for Audiothing Springs. It’s the most convincing to my ear.
It's on the pricier side when it comes to fx apps huh? - am guessing those of you recommend it think it's worth 20 quid?
Absolutely, its worth more
Cool. Thanks. Might take a punt
100% worth it. It also has a great EQ, and you can mess with the IR waveforms.
SpringVerb is very cheap
Audiothings is the only one with actually drip and boing. The others are not really good for surfy, splashy spring reverb. Spend big, spend once.
Today I played with splat-2-clat which have build in ifx rack, inside is spring reverb with a lot of models and they are interesting sonically.
I don’t have ifx auv3, only under splat-2-clat, but it seems to be nice fx processor

As others have said it’s highly worth the (cheap) price of $20. We’re spoiled on iOS and often forget how little we pay for desktop quality plugins. It’s the best Spring verb on iOS imo with Timeverb being my #2 (it even has the option to “hit” it to get that classic spring sound).
If you want to save money DevilSpring and Springverb are both really good. But neither will come close to Springs or TimeVerb.
iFX is great! I bought it and the IAPs during the Black Friday sale and they’re all excellent.
This one sounds all right to me also, but your eyes may bleed from the GUI!
I should note I enjoy the occasional janky app interface. But I come from a world where janksome traits are often prized.

Oh I’m glad the topic of drippy spring reverbs released a little wave to surf on 🤓
Ok so I guess I also will have to invest the 20 for the best drippy Audiothing spring.
Maybe someone can upload a drippy little clip? Even if it’s just some drippy dubby little snare thing.
Nice
@jacou : there is a bit of the drippy rhythm guitar in this quickie video
There are good demos of that in the actual thread for Springs here on ABF. But it is definitely the Droid you're looking for.
I have Audiothing Springs, it’s the great FX, they elevated convolution reverb technology, my respect for that, and anyone who likes anything about spring reverbs should have this gem in their possession.
But personally, on the guitar, I would never use Audiothing Springs over Eventide Springs. If anyone has any doubts about my choice, just make comparisons while sliding or bending multiple strings at the same time.
I've deleted that plugin when I was using an old iPad Air 2 because it was the culprit for a lot of crashes. Got AudioThing Springs and never looked back.
Nobody mentioned AltiSpace 2 yet.
You can load your own Spring Reverb IRs.
There are lots of freebies online.
My go to spring reverb in IOS
True. I do like AltiSpace but Springs is way more deeper and dedicated. AltiSpace has a lot of dials/control options but (except for the eq) I always have a hard time to hear a difference when using them.
To me the basic IR without any parameters sounds quite the same.
It’s true that Springs has a bit more to offer to shape the sound and the UI is superb.
If ya wanna get really really springy and explore even more units, convolution AU (Impulsation or Altispace 2) + some of the spring IR's from the massive collection at https://pasttofuturereverbs.gumroad.com/
They make the IR's with tape and other analog mojo over there, got some extra flavor.
One of my springy dripppy favorites is the Grampian 636

Now to top it off, run the wet from the spring IR thru Dials and you've got some sweet Audiothing/Hainbach drive and compression + filtering for the spring reverb.
Also just in case, to those who don't know, if you tap the sides of the 'box' in Audiothing Springs, you get the splash of the impulse
I just like to add the occasional obscure suggestion to these threads. When everybody’s going to recommend Springs, or one of six or seven others, it feels like listening to a greatest hits station sometimes. Rather, it almost becomes an echo chamber. By the way, Audiothing’s Springs also has the best echo chamber effect lol ahahaa
Eventide spring is nice too.
There was a good discussion (pre Springs) of the spring reverb options including some talk of Eventide Spring and settings for it from @BroCoast that improve its realism
