Holy Hell
The irony of this phrase escaped me till I considered it now. It’s funny how we say things without thinking about them.

Nice themes and app choices… very cinematic images.
In my mind the contrast between the low and high registers was a perfect symbol for the darkness and the light. Just like the words of the title.
Thx for listening @McD. Hope yr cat’s good.
I agree @richardyot that’s what lead me to the title. Thx for listening!
That's certainly a hellish and menacing build up in the intro! The rest of the piece is very grand - from the choice of instruments and how they were played. Agree with @richardyot about how the high and low registers of the instruments created a contrast similar to light and dark, as the title suggests.
It's amazing how your output is so varied but always successful. This piece is quite a contrast in itself compared to the mostly laid back, reflective, chilled and jazzy ambience of your most recent album collection. You command a lot of instruments and styles! 🙏🏻
That’s Esoteric Synth @Spidericemidas. Inks good for that stuff. It’s one area where acoustic instruments have limitations but I’ve heard them overcome. Psycho is a good example and, of course, Night on Bald Mountain. Lots of others, too.
A nice change and nice to see BeatHawk having an outing, happily have listened to more in the vein 👍
This book by Steven Pinker about language and how it evolves, twists and turns are super interesting. I read it many years ago and really should do that again with the more recent discoveries of our brain in mind. See if I can find a cheap copy at Amazon 😂
