    Somewhat crestfallen that though he didn’t actually tag him, in my mind @GeoTony (by saying “Loved the original” in a thread where @jwmmakerofmusic enthusiastically mentioned the original authorship numerous times) was literally doing the very thing @dreamcartel suggested that nobody was doing. Cries. 😥

    Not a clap back, just trying to empathise in every direction. It just goes to show what a challenge communication can be, with the best of intentions. Hugs, everybody.

    OMG, well, apologies — just goes to show how true indeed my comment about the difficulty of communication was, haha. I didn’t get your meaning at all, mainly because the statement “No one shouted me out for writing this” didn’t seem supported by the actual contents of the thread.

    Thanks man, it’s not “permanent “ I’m sure
    I just had some issues pressing, and that also brought some positive changes to my music, and the experiment of “dream cartel” is over.

    I’m now “evolving” into the new artist I have been working at for a year now.

    So with that, I’m creating a new handle/band name/artist name, and new soundscape

    But thanks for the sentiment . When I’m back I’ll make sure to make it known I was the artist formerly known as a dream cartel lol

    Anyway, I will miss you especially Tony ;) I love your music

    Personally, I tough this was the thread about @jwmmakerofmusic song from sampling of @dreamcartel song. So the comment about JWM was to go in this thread and the comments about dreamcartel was to go in its own thread. But I just realised that dreamcartel song does not have its own thread. Does it ?

    Nope, otherwise I would've linked to the separate thread instead of to the direct Soundcloud link. :) That's how I usually go about it is to link to the relevant thread to promote the artist from whom I sampled. And yes, you are correct. This is the thread about me sampling @dreamcartel 's song and turning it into what you hear above.

    Although as I mentioned a couple replies above, Dream Cartel removed his original track from Soundcloud, so the source material was lost. 😩
