Interface connection
Hey there,
Every time I unplug my interface from the ipad I have trouble getting LP to find the audio inputs again. I have to create a dummy track and select inputs and then LP gets signal in. It recognizes that the interface is hooked up but does not receive audio. Any way around this? Thanks!

Are you connecting the interface before opening LP? Do you force-quit LP when not using it (swipe it off from the Task Switcher)?
Also, could you mention how the interface is connected? Direct USB-C cable, USB-A connector to Lightning adapter, etc.?
There's a setting, Auto-Mute Audio Sources you might try turning off to see if it helps.
Can you post a screenshot of the mixer when it happens ? And if you could tap on the icon for the input in the mixer and post a screenshot of that, too?
Interface is connected through a usb c hub. Sometimes I connect the interface before opening LP, sometimes not. If the interface gets disconnected during the session then it reconnects to the point where it acknowledges there are inputs and outputs but the do not register on the meters. Once I create a new hardware input then the incoming audio show up for the new track and all the old ones. The tracks look the same before and after just no sound.
Can you open the mixer and post a picture? When an interface disconnects or changes during a session, Loopy might mute the inputs to avoid feedback. Try muting and unmuting if it happens again. And if you post a picture of the input setup as I mentioned, it may provide a clue as to what is going on.
@jred - did you ever try this?
My experience with iPads and USB devices is that an app receives the connection information from the system when it is opened. If the connections change while the app is running, it does not receive updated information. And when a device is disconnected and reconnected, the app continues to "see" the old instance, which is no longer active. So it is best to connect all the hardware before opening apps.
Thanks for the help. I don't have a good way to get screen shots as I do my LP offline and my forum searches online, but it hasn't happened again since I have been careful not to unplug while LP is open.
