No problems here.
No issues here
IMO This is just a rushed update to sort out the networking issues on iPhones so there should be no change to whatever problems we're experiencing with music apps.
I'm pretty sure the update has been in development since the iOS 8 GM freeze back in early/mid August. The update notes had quite a few issues noted, and there's probably a slew of bugs fixed that Apple didn't include in the list. But if I still was on iOS 7 I'd would still wait a while longer before updating, since there are obviously still issues with music apps (amongst other things).
I updated, and if it's not on the AB IOS 8 list, it won't be a usable app with AB. Probably worth waiting until all your favorites are updated.
I updated my iPad Air to 8.0.2 and played for several hours without a problem using lots of music apps, IAA, AB, Cubasis, virtual MIDI, AudioCopy, AudioShare, Thor, Z3TA+, iSymphonic Orchestra, Jordantron, csSpectral, Mobile convolution reverb, etc., All good here.
Anybody updated an IPad 3 with 8.02?

This is what I'm interested to find out as well... I'm considering buying a new iPad this fall and thinking to leave the 3 on 7.1.2 forever if iOS 8 is too sluggish.
I've been using an iPad 2 since they came out. It's been a good machine, but I intend to update to an iPad Air 2. I'm really hoping the rumors are true about 2GB of RAM! Either way, even if it isn't, it will still be a big jump from an iPad 2.

My plan as well. Though I may jailbreak the 3.
I made the plunge and update , any app that don't work would just get leave behind until the do update.

Funny, for the first time I considered this very solution today. Why not have a dedicated studio iPad on 7? And I can have day-to-day "work" iPad on iOS 8 with some music apps that run only on 8.
Exactly what I'm doing. No complaints.
All Korg apps are ready for iOS8 soon:
still get the sign into icloud popup every time phone is turned on.

Good news! If only isem got this update then all the "big names" should work with ios8/audiobus 2.
Updated to 8.0.2 last night, started AB this evening, nothing worked in AB,starting any app did not work, no linking to AB after starting the app from within AB.
Rebooted my iPad 4 and everything now works fine.
