Xbox criticised Apple‘s decision to charge a fee for iOS apps released outside the store

“We believe constructive conversations drive change and progress towards open platforms and greater competition,” she wrote on X.

“Apple’s new policy is a step in the wrong direction. We hope they listen to feedback on their proposed plan and work towards a more inclusive future for all.”

    And this gem

Hoping that the EU has a strong word with them.

You could really broaden that out to quite a few of the parties involved in this case, but that may require some critical thought. So maybe just choosing a side and then stick to mud slinging is a better option.

I could argue either side of this if I wanted to, but I stand by what I said.

  • I’m an EU citizen, at first I thought this would be good, more freedom of choice right? No one forces you to install third party. But nope, dumpster fire. This doesn’t favor Apple in my eyes

Daniel Ek is a real pig, an asshole - Daniels way how he behaved when he bought a culture protected house in Djursholm, Sweden, and after a while against the law smashed the house down, left the garbage in the garden (to the neighbors rage…) and bought another place near the first…
The way how this Daniel Ek (founder of Spotify) is handling millions of money, money I think should go to the “poor” artists in music business, it’s really bad ass behavior…

Good persons become big assholes after the facts the millions flowing in on the private accounts…

  • Just as a matter of curiosity, can I sell items to use in Fortnite direct to players? (Or via an app in the Apple App Store?)

Not good behaviour about the house demolition, certainly, but as to illegal I’m not sure, was the house exempt from the law protecting it?

The way Daniel Ek (and Spotify border) have acting several times against the Swedish authorities and Swedish goverment is really like a blackmail.
Daniel Ek have act entitled to get advantages for Spotify, threaten to leave Sweden if he can’t be heard and get his demands fulfilled…

Spotify isn’t the only company in Sweden - there’s a lot, and, we have taxrules and other rules, but Daniel Ek thinks it’s not for him and Spotify…

I know exactly how he acts, unfortunately this behaviour is quite common to many companies and corporations in many different regions, but that’s the system and we are not allowed to discuss that in depth.
