Journey to Proxima Centauri (Zenbeats, LP4i)
This is my first track written and mixed in Zenbeats, mastered in LP4i.
I finished writing it back in October but I had a really difficult time mixing all the elements. After taking a holiday break it all came together.
I welcome all you comments and criticism on the song and the mix.

Love it @ecou !
👍🏻 it has a reto tv vibe.
Thank you @Edward_Alexander and @Stochastically
Cool track! Thanks for sharing
Thank you for listening
This is phenomenal! The chord progressions, the melodies, the sound choices...chef's kiss. If I had one nitpick, the drums could stand to be a smidgeon punchier. Not "in your face" drums as I don't think that's the intention (although I could be wrong here).
.....I...kind of want to sample it. 😅 Of course not without your permission mate. But, I really love what I hear, and this would fit great in a Justice/Daft Punk-styled piece.
Thank you so much Jim for you kind comment ☺️
Now that you mention it it do notice the drums could use a bit more punch.
Yes you can sample my song. I look forward to hearing what you do with it. 😃
Woohoo!!! Excellent. After a nap, lol. 😂
Nap is the most important portant time of the day. 😉
LOL! Well shucks, I went into work today. Now I'm home. Going to give your track a listen again, but this time to pick out which spots I want to sample. Then I'm gonna cook in Koala! 😎
Awesome sauce! I listened to this a few times because I liked it but did not know why. I’m thinking it’s sort of a drone piece but not really. As a rule I personally find the genre boring. This is not boring at all. I also thought about @jwmmakerofmusic comment on the drums. What he called “punch” I would think of as its overall place in the mix. Thinking that way made me realize that it was also true of other elements of the mix. They all either come in or float up to awareness at just the right pace to keep me interested. E.g. those chord/scale changes are a really nice diversion. Bringing the drums to prominence throughout would change the entire feel of the piece, which maybe was your intent. In any case I like it just the way it is. The only thing I did not understand was the snare hit at the end. Thanks for sharing. I think I might take a nap now myself
Thank you @boomer for that thorough analysis. I had a very difficult time with the mix. This is my 3rd iteration. I am glad you like it. 🙂 I was going to try to improve the drums but you have convinced me to live it as is.
That last snare hit, I played with a couple drummers that like giving a snare hit when we were done a song. Not sure the reason.
Happy napping and it's about time for mine too.
Retro and epic. Thought of Jeff Wayne’s WOTW and Science Fiction Theater,
@LinearLineman . I had never heard of Jeff Wayne's WOTW. I checked it out and its sounds really great. Thank you
@ecou, make sure you watch the one narrated by Richard Burton. 10 analog synth players, I believe.
Extremely cool. It inspired me to revisit something that I put on the back burner. I am an old dude and shouldn’t be listening to stuff like this… but I like it.
Will do ! 👍
Age is only a number. I am in early 50s and creating that stuff 😃
Thank you and let me know when you release it.
I will. However, I have been having second thoughts about posting it. It's extreme thrash metal with a vocal track by a guy who calls himself "MetalEd". If I post it, it will only be for the the "entertainment" value. Please don't take it seriously!
I am a metal fan so no worries 😉
I posted it on SoundCloud. It’s called Demolition Crazy. Probably won’t post on ABF, though. It might be too much for some of our more sensitive members. My ears are still ringing.
Wowzer, nearly blew my headphones off 😊
So full of energy… great track !

Crazy great track Paul. What’s the back story behind creating it ? You play the guitar ?
This track goes hard! 💪🏻 I also think the title is apt. The sections are varied so I did feel it took me on a journey. 👍
Thank you for listening Alex.
