Invasion / More Esoteric Synth
2x Esoteric Synth (very good for ominous sounds), 2x @Spidericemidas presets in Marsenne, 2x Spider in Kronecker, BeatHawk Balkan Bass, Galileo 2, Ravenscroft, FM Tines , Future Drummer.and Retro Piano provided the alien crackling.

Quite the powerful atmosphere here, some hints of John Carpenter’s style amongst LOT of things hiding being the apparent simplicity.
You get a thumbs up just for using those tripods in the thumbnail. Love me a bit of WOTW.
Lots of tension and suspence in this one with a dark and kind of claustrophobic atmosphere. I enjoyed it 👍
Thx for commenting @jo92346 and @Spidericemidas. 😘😎
Nice...made me go buy Esoteric Synth...
Thx @lasselu you’ll enjoy Esoteric.
I’m not sure I would have known this was by you in a blind listening… your a man of many talents 👌
Thx @GeoTony. Actually, just one talent spread thin.
Ha! Yes, this one was not what I was expecting.
@hes Expect that unexpected!
Fwhaaat?! haha this is amazing Mike!
Thx @Edward_Alexander Yes, it’s my Hyde side.👹
@LinearLineman did you sound design in esoteric synth or did you use presets?
I’ve used this synth before and have hell of a time fiddling with its params
Hell, ID700 is less opaque than Esoteric Synth
(I still like em both)
Nice jazzy piano arps BTW
@audiblevideo i messed with a preset. Just luck that I wrangled something out of it. Thx for listening, bro.
To echo the above comments, this is indeed outside your norm. Way outside. There is no way you improvised this in real time. Did you lay down a bed and improvise over it? Did you sequence it or play directly to audio? I would like to know how you went about it. It’s very very cool.
Very cool. It reminds me of something Lalo Schifrin might do to create an atmosphere. I hope that’s a good thing. I haven’t come up with anything for a few weeks. I hope it’s just the weather. I might try something like this. Thanks for the nudge.
It’s our anniversary today. We’re going to Chama Gaucha, a Brazilian steakhouse. All you an eat!!! I accept the challenge.
@Boomer, I improvised two piano parts. Here is the first. Halfway thru, as an example, I translate the piano midi into a Kroenecker preset and add it to the piano part.. You can hear how the presets do all the heavy lifting. Here’s are screenshots of the Cubasis project as well.
Thx @Paulieworld . Ii wouldn’t worry about a lull. Especially in a lifelong pursuit. I’m jealous of the all you can eat Brazilian restaurant. I used yo go to a similar style restaurant in Manhattan. Plataforma.
Ahh there you are! After hearing the fragment, this is not as far out of your norm as I originally thought. It just seems that way because of the complex layering provided by the synths on top of your improv. But it’s really the improv that drives the heavy lifting. Listening again I can now hear it. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing that.
