1010music bluebox multitrack alternative for ipad?
I was checking out this multitracker and I was thinking this could be most possibly done on the iPad too. What could do this along with AUM or Drambo? I know of course Cubasis, but just wondered what others would have to say.

I had one of these. I bought it because I thought I’d be doing more DAW-less hardware stuff, and sold it because I grew frustrated that it doesn’t serve as a multichannel audio interface — a real missed opportunity. I replaced it with a TC Helicon Blender, which isn’t a recorder, and recorded in AUM instead. The Bluebox is basically AUM for DAW-less hardware: you can mix and record 6 stereo tracks and/or a stereo mix. Unlike AUM, you can use it like a portastudio and punch in at particular parts of a timeline, which I never did, so I suppose you’d need to host Multitrack Recorder in AUM to achieve something like that. It’s all a bit hazy now.

I'm using a TC Helicon Blender USB audio interface with Drambo too sometimes and I can't praise it enough. 6 stereo input channels available as separate inputs in Drambo allows me do do all the mixing and processing in Drambo, plus I get free headphones monitoring on the hardware with 4 parallel headphone jacks in case I want to jam with friends 😊
And it's battery powered so it won't drain the iPad battery.
You might be outraged to know that I then sold the Blender because I thought its spoke-like design took way too much room, and replaced it with a ridiculous TE TX-6. Yes, I was made of money at the time. No, I am no longer made of money. (The stress wasn’t worth it.) Yes, I’m holding on to the TX-6. 🤪
Haha, I wouldn't mind owning one either, plus two TP-7's for tracking 😅
@Antos3345 FWIW, I also found the menu-diving and use of a fiddly touchscreen for many Bluebox functions a little unintuitive compared to a mixer that has a bunch of parallel, vertical sliders — even the tiny ones on the TX-6, which people make fun of but are still have a respectable one-function tactility. Neither are they as elegant as the touchscreen sliders in AUM, which can get fiddly in a different way if you have plenty of channels, but which are big FOR A REASON. (I think people sometimes forget why AUM is so elegant — it’s not a Homer-Simpson-mobile.)
That said, the Bluebox is a solid product. It just wasn’t my thing.
Thanks for the tips and thoughts .
