What a beautiful comment!.
“ The impending apocalypse”, now that’s a great band name!. 🤟🙌
Love the music, love the video. Definitely a great collaboration.
A really unique sounding track - engaging all the way through, great sound choices and arrangement too.
I love distant collaborations (it is what I do most!). The outcomes are often greater than the sum of their parts (which is not to say that the individuals are not very talented!)
Great job @tahiche and @JanKun
Guys, it’s a masterpiece. JanKun's voice is epic. A music video is a story in itself. From the message in the lyrics and those horrific imagery, you managed to translate this theme to music perfectly. Bravo! 🤩
Thank u!. Personally sometimes I’m not sure if videos are worth it, they take a lot of time specially if you’re a noob like me. But like I said before I really enjoyed Final Cut , very intuitive.
Definitely, @JanKun is brilliant, the guy can do it all exceptionally well. So lucky to have done this with him.
Thanks!. @JanKun has done more but it’s my first time and I absolutely loved it. Obviously the company was exceptional. Hope to do more. I miss playing live, the rehearsal space, but also I don’t 😂…
How do come around with these long distance collaborations?.
Are you asking how I come to do the collaborations that I do? Usually, people hear my music and ask me if I want to add something to a track or two of theirs. Sometimes that results in many albums songs such as the 25 or so albums I have done with Doug Woods of the Sound Test Room and now 5 albums with German pianist Oliver Papke or more recently with the ambient Prog band Nova Cascade, now working on a my second album with them. Sometimes it is just one or a few tracks.
Done more? Me? Come one... More than 80 % of the track was already there when you sent it to me, no reason to minimise what you did !
Impressive achievement, Colin! You're on the same league as someone like @LinearLineman. I hope one day I can look back at my own line of work the same way both of you do now.
Thank you for all the great words 🙏
Thank you @JanKun ! Kind words indeed.
Epic track @tahiche @JanKun! Not sure what else to add other than it felt like I was listening to a new Bowie incarnation. Great collaboration, hope to hear more! (My fingers are available, but I think you got the guitars covered.)
Late to the party but I can only repeat what @richardyot said … ‘ Excellent, complex, and original track with an outstanding vocal and incredible arrangement. Great work’
Sounds great through headphones 🎧
Thank you for listening Paul and sorry for the late reply. Can't talk for @tahiche but I am not checking the forum that much lately...
New Bowie incarnation? I didn't see that one coming. If some mad scientist managed to merge Tahiche and me into one single creature, it may look like Thomas Newton in "The Man Who Fell To Earth", who knows? 😉
Thank you Tony ! I agree about the headphones. Tahiche did an amazing job on the mix!
I do check it, but it was your turn! 😜
The Bowie reference is a very welcome exaggeration, doesn’t get better than that. 🚀
Something like Debussy on a LSD trip could have been great too !
Debussy on acid would have been awesome! He probably only had absynth maybe some opium.
I listened again and I stand by my reference. JanKun’s spoken-like vocal and the harmonies are very Bowiesque, and when it kicks off around 3:00 there’s a Heroes vibe. Great work guys!
Wow, @tahiche mate - I'm off for a few short months and you're dropping this! 👊 Great job. I mean it definitely needs more Teenage Engineering gadgets in there, but it's certainly a confident entry. Also congrats to @JanKun on the collab.
🙌 @ervin, da man. once again 🏅
Not sure what I can add here, folks on this forum are so ridiculously and diversely talented, and this is great work.
Thanks!
Thank you for listening and for the kind words!
