SOLVED: Let loaded plugins control Loopy Pro actions (via MIDI)?
Is it possible to let a plugin trigger and control Loopy Pro actions to get some kind of automation?
AUM has that useful virtual “MIDI Ctrl” interface. Any plugin can send MIDI data to it and control the host and other plugins parameters.
Currently I was only able to achieve this by using an external app to connect the output and input of Loopy Pros virtual MIDI interface. But I wonder if there is a simpler way.
To answer my own question: Yes, this is possible!
Open “MIDI Learn”
Choose what you want to control
Then “Tap to define trigger manually” in order to choose the plugin or other source of MIDI messages.
Now you can configure type of message, channel etc.
Brilliant!

Did you know that you can also set up
Midi bindings in the Control Settings panel?
Now I know👍 Thanks for the tip. This avoids MIDI learn being triggered by the wrong message.
It also lets you have a number of actions in the same binding.
