Creative, beautiful soundscape. Good use of ‘non-standard’ scales lifts it to another level of interest. Class
Thanks so much @BillS for the kind words. I see you posted a track. I’ll give it a listen.
This brings back some nice memories. Piano Sonata No. 14 was my first “Ludwig van” recital piece. I only played the first movement, but Mom loved it. It made her cry. She always said “belt it out”. I must have made quite a spectacle of myself.
Anyhow, this was quite pleasant to listen to. I like the weirdness at around 2:00. The whole package was done beautifully.
It looks like you beat me to the food-naming thing. We love Fritatta, except I call it Garbage Omlette. She calls it Leftover. Anything left on the bottom shelf ends up in there! It’s delicious any time of day. We will probably be having that soon. Anyhow, Lasagna tonight. Woo Hoo!
A beautiful mix that showcases some great playing.
Nice creation… I’m wondering how you sync’ed up the orchestral punches with the triplet piano parts. I can’t see you overdubbing but there it is… two distinct syn’ced parts.
I noticed the 2:50 of material repeated with new instrument choices. That’s a @linearlineman staple. Really good instrument choices on this excursion. You must have spent a good bit of time trying out choices to get these.
A real beauty!
I agree
Great sound choices. Complement each other, each has its voice space. I really like that low short tremelo thing that puts it foot down now and then, like at the 4:39, 5:39 mark. It’s like a hint of suspense around the corner.
Thanks for the praise @Paulieworld @MadeofWax @Stochastically @dav.
@McD, it’s just the magic of he BeatHawk presets and some serendipity.
@LinearLineman damn it, that was so unexpected. Like the entire way. But everywhere it took me was right where I needed to be. I absolutely love this. It’s so beyond my brains ability to comprehend what’s going on, but my brain knows that it’s landing in the places it’s both familiar with and those that are unknown, constantly weaving between those places until I can finally sigh.
Thank you so very much for sharing this.
Thanks a bunch @drez. It’s been a while. Hope all is good, bro.
That was a great listening, thanks for this. May I ask you if you keep a midi trace of everything you are playing or is it a "live this moment now or never" approach ?
Very nice progression! I don’t have much to say other than I really enjoyed that to the point where I couldn’t even turn on my analytic ear. Going to listen again.
Thx @cuscolima yes, it’s all midi so I can use the piano lines for other instruments and midi edit.
Glad you enjoyed it @michael_m. Have a good weekend, mate.
Love the entry of the EP at 2:48. Whether you realize it or not, you’re always teaching us a thing or two. Thank you for continuing to inspire!
Thanks @Edward_Alexander, inspiration, maybe. My aim is to make some beautiful and interesting music on an iPad. I would like to do my best combining virtual acoustic and electronic instruments. I think that’s one direction this evolution should take us. Have a good weekend, bro. I hope things are better for you.
Loved the title. Loved the use of the strings … another goodun 😉
Thank you @GeoTony Have a great weekend, bro.
