Patch changes from ForScore to one AUM session

Hi, Is there a way to send a message from ForScore which will then make bulk changes to my AUM session? e.g. I have 4 channels set up Pno/Org/Syn/Clav and for tune 1 I want just the Piano to play but for tune 2 I want the Piano solo and Org, tune 3 the Clav solo and for tune 4 the Clav & Syn layered.

What's the best way of going about this?

thanks

  • You could use a script in Mozaic or StreamByter to receive the message from ForScore and send the desired command(s) to AUM. You'd route the script output to MIDI Control in AUM, and use the script output messages to mute or solo the desired channels. You could also adjust levels, control effects, etc., with these messages.

Alternatively, you could save each instrument configuration as an AUM Session. Then configure your ForScore message to load the correct session. This would be simpler. However, there will be a certain delay while the session loads, and there might be an audio glitch.

It would be even simpler if ForScore could send a group of messages. Then you could use them directly to control the AUM channels, and you'd be able to do the programming directly in ForScore.

MIDI Messenger is an option, too. It is a free plugin that listens for a midi event and can send multiple midi events.

One can also set up AUM to load projects by midi command.
