Man, this was really nice to listen to while sifting through emails and sipping a cuppa this morning.
Love it! And Wow, this is stuck in my head now;
na na na nee new new, na na na nee new.
La da da Dee doo, dew, la da da Dee Doo.
@LinearLineman
thanks for the listen, @jwmmakerofmusic @Edward_Alexander fortunately, I have no musical memory but it is catchy now that I think about it.
I respectfully disagree about musical memory. It’s there, but just not immediately apparent. Decades of synapse building that you can call on at any time. I would love to hear a B and C part to this, arranged into a structured song. You know, ABACA, etc. That’s just me and my old school training. I’m so old school, I just call it School.
Moving right along… I was not familiar with Umami, so I looked it up. Apparently it means “the essence of deliciousness”. Gotta love me some of that! I would love to give it a try, but she doesn’t trust me in her kitchen, except to wash the dishes afterwards.
Our anniversary is this week and, unfortunately Tallgrass in Lockport is closed for remodeling. Instead, we are going to a Brazilian steakhouse called Chama Gaucha. Someone once asked me what my favorite type of architecture was. I said - a steakhouse. Check it out…

They have some tasty wine. We’ll drink a toast to you both.
Thanks, @Paulieworld I like your style.
Definitely a catchy theme and I like the contrast between the Ravenscroft and the Retro piano.
Kind of catchy all right. I listened after reading @Edward_Alexander word description, so the whole time I was listening it had me saying na na na new new new also.
Alway wondered @LinearLineman, what kind of midi controller do you play on?
Thx @MadeofWax We have a lot of choices for pianos these days.
@Dav i used to use a Kawai ES8 digital piano. Now I have a top of the line Kawai Novus 10S which sports a real wooden grand action. It's more fun to play but the ES8 is pretty great, too.
Oh wow. I’ve read some good things about that novus 105. I’m sure you are enjoying it.
Thx @dav. It was worth the dough to be playing something that feels like a real piano with all the midi bells and whistles. You can buy real pianos outfitted with midi capabilities but they’re a lot more expensive, especially for a grand.
I am thinking of a ballroom masquerade scene, where people are moving from partner to partner...wondering who is behind the mask...if they know them...or if they would like to know them. Building into a structured dance where everyone is across from each other...eyes darting...the only way to convey emotion is through their movements...
I like the description @drez suggested above 👌
Thx for the word picture @drez. As @GeoTony said, I like it.
