Spectrum - see the screen snapshot below
NOTE: there's a ton of apps with the name spectrum in the app store, so it's hard to fine

ToneBoosters Spectrogram is free as well.

  • My preferred app for this is the "Oscilloscope and Spectrogram" by Mani Consulting. Not free, but very easy to read. Useful for checking the dynamic variation of harmonics.

  • @uncledave I will buy it. It sounds very interesting, and with a violin, I get a lot of harmonics.

Good. The beauty is that you can strike a note, then pause the spectrogram. This lets you examine how the harmonics decay. Might be a bit tricky with violin; need quick hands. Could make a short recording of test notes, then play it through Osc and Spectrogram.
