Before Apesoft made IOS plugins, their domain was Max4Live in the 1st place
(Apefilter is still one of my all time favorites)

CAUTION: Put a Limiter after ApeFilter. It can oscillate on an internal feedback path and drive your headphones into the danger zone. You’ll never see it coming so prepare with a Limiter. We should make a list of apps that have damaged ABF members hearing. If you have a candidate drop it here
and if there are enough we can open a thread on the issue.
Personally for modulated filters I love FilterStation 2 and DubFilter. Probably wise to put a limiter after any modulated filter FX app. You tweak a setting a then a slow LFO drives the filter into saturation and potentially some high powered volume a second later.
An infinite rising/falling phaser effect can also deliver similar results, like in the following demo. Though in this example, the filters' center frequencies don't go as high as in the video.
Flux pro is awesome but has been a little crashy with me. Your experience?
It's been pretty stable for me I haven't experienced any crashes that I recall. But I have also only used it a few time so take what I say with a grain of salt.
Speaking of apeFilter… how do you get presets to show up in AU version?
Other Desert Cities and Rymdigare both have a few presets that can end up like that. I use TB Barricade to protect my ears and gear.
Was wondering that also.
Just follow the instructions of the hamburger menu.
If it tells you „no bank loaded“, you can do so on this instruction sheet, which will direct you to the Files app to choose from ApeFilter‘s folder...
It looks like plain text at 1st sight, but it‘s an active page indeed.
