    yep, this is what i hear in higher sample rates, it sounds sharper or i would say clean with the depth. It so hard to explain but analogue gear has a more depth to it and when you use lower sample rate on the audio card /sampling some of this depth goes. also, digital stuff like reverbs, modeled instruments just sound better at higher sample rates. I know you can argue there is no perceived difference with mathematics but i just trust my ears.

    but yeah, it chews up CPU but lower latencies is a nice by-product.
