Drambo - Any way to turn off edit actions?

Once I’ve created an instrument rack with the controls I want on view and the ones I don’t, hidden, I’d like to be able to adjust the visible controls without accidently opening up their edit or link options. Is there a simple setting to achieve this that I’ve missed?

  • It needs a “performance” mode like Audulus

  • Amen, this is exactly my Drambo problem.
You can’t. But I am glad I’m not alone anymore:p

If you nudge a pitch knob it will register a tap, which will enable the cable/link mode.
This behavior is not a problem when using a mouse. But for touch input it’s a design flaw causing a huge error rate.

A quick nudge on a rotary knob on a touch screen is never a problem in any host or plugin I have ( a lot )
Except in Drambo. A touch ‘nudge’ at high velocity is not the same as a mouse nudge at high velocity.

The only way around it is to use sliders and xy pads re-connected to rotary knobs.
And just avoid using rotary knobs.
    Or use a mouse.
    Or stop nudging.
    Touccchh, aaaaaaandddd swipeeeeee.

Similar issue is with the fine adjustments. Which is the horizontal motion of a rotary. Also not designed for touch.
Because it’s the worst gesture for fine adjustments ergonomically. And it directly conflicts with sideways scrolling.
Small knobs, human fingers, designed/tested/used with an for a mouse.

Other than that. Drambo is amazing.
Perhaps we should send @giku_beepstreet a apple pencil. Then it would be fixed two weeks later.

    Nudgers unite.

  • This is what the 'Racks' are for...
...you can double tap on any item in a module and select 'Hide in compact view' and when you close the rack the objects magically vanish.

I want to twiddle the knobs, not hide them. See tpj’s post, above. (Thanks @tpj ).
