This sounds like a perfect soundtrack to a Studio Ghibli film. So talented. That Shakuhachi is wonderful. So much detail in there. Chord structures are sooo sick. I can't wait to listen to this on a drive through the country side.

Nice. If you want my honest opinion, I think stands on its own without the Shakuhachi, which is very cool sound, but doesn’t quite fit here. Just my two cents.
One of my favorite pianists is actually best known as a jazz drummer, Jack Dejohnette. Your piece reminded me of a duet he did with Eddie Gomez at Jazz Showcase in Chicago. At the time, I didn’t know he was such an excellent pianist and composer. My buddy was a jazz drummer, and he talked me into going that night. I’m glad I did. I don’t remember the music, but I remember the feel.

I know variety is the spice of life (especially given your Indian cuisine explorations) but I’m with Joseph and Paul on this one. The piano is so beautiful I’m happy just listening to it solo 👌
