Questions if an IPA Backup File can help with installing Apps that aren’t available in the App Store
When an app isn’t available anymore in the App Store, that means if you haven’t downloaded that app before it was removed then it’s lost. If I were to get a new device, then that means I’m screwed and not obtaining these lost apps for this new device. Would it be possible if you were to get an IPA Backup of that lost app and would you be able to install it again with an IPA Backup. I don’t have any knowledge about IPA backups or even how to get the IPA, so I can’t say what will work. As long as you have the app on another device then I’m hoping there’s some possibility of getting the IPA backup files from that device. And if you guys think of other ways or hacks other than the IPA Backup.

You have to have backed up the app using iMazing before it disappears from the App Store. Unless I'm misinformed, iMazing doesn't back up the .ipa from the device but from the App Store. Once you have it you can restore it to a new device as long as the new device is used with the same Apple ID.
Short of a jailbreak or apps similar to iMazing, there aren't any other ways to back up and restore apps. Apple has things locked down tighter than a gnat's ass.
A couple of things to clarify the iMazing situation. iMazing’s feature with regards to ipa’s is different from device backups. It has the ability to download ipa’s from the App Store and store them. They are not stored in your device backup itself. The downloaded ipa library is different from a device backup.
Ipa files aren’t stored in device backups and cannot be extracted directly from a device.
An awful lot of IPA’s remain available even after the app has been removed from the App Store.
You might want to grab iMazing and see if the apps you are worried about are still available for download through its manage app’s feature . Note that it can’t download IAP content.
So the takeaway is: everyone should get iMazing and use it to backup their apps from the App Store onto their Mac or Windows computer in case of disaster. Backing up your device to a computer is not enough and won't save your apps.
Thank you wim and espiegel123 for the info.
Best advice, yes a long time after Z3TA had disappeared from my purchased list iMazing still was able to download the last available version although this version had introduced a new bug, but with iMazing you can save multiple versions of apps so you could possibly install an older version.
What about the IAPs of the app?

My first time hearing about iMazing. What iMazing version do you have to use. I saw that theres two different versions for Mac, the Profile Editor & Converter.
I don’t know of any way to download those.
An IPA can help with the sadness of losing an app no longer available in the appstore. So can any ale for that matter. 😏
Are you sure you have the right product?

Stick with the installed version. No need to go with the version 3 beta they may offer to try when you enter the program.
I was actually looking at the two iMazings from the App Store, not the website. Thanks, this link looks like the legit one I need from the website.
iMazing sounds great. I’m going to try it out. When I first used iTunes to backup my 1st device I’m remember seeing saved .ipa files on my laptop afterwards while snooping my folders. Many of those apps aren’t available anymore. Is it possible to put those .ipa on my newer devices? Same account info.
Maybe. But there are a couple of caveats regarding really old apps. First, they might be 32-bit. iOS continued to operate in compatible mode for a while after 64-bit processors became the norm. But current iOS runs in "hard" 64-bit mode, so 32-bit apps are just fossils. Second, a few years ago, Apple updated its app security codes, requiring all apps to be updated. In some cases, this did not occur. I have an app (Epic Synth) that still runs on my iPad Air with iOS 12, but on my current device with iPadOS 17, it says "This app needs to be uodated by the developer".
