Midi CC controller live recorder - exists?

edited February 27 in General App Discussion

Hi All,
Im looking for an Auv3 midi cc controller with programmable faders, maybe knobs and buttons with live recording into a sequencer.
Is it exists somewhere?

Comments

  • Drambo can do it.
    Not an easy workflow.

    Gr16 can do it.

If you look at GR16 as a sequencer/midi controller alone and disable/ignore the audio it can generate. It's actually a very capable 16 channel midi sequencer/controller for CC events. The main problem is editing the recorded data visually and working with patterns can be a pain.

you can however record a session. Then play it back and record it to Xequencer for example. Also not the best workflow.

Mozaic can do it. But really needs to bump up the UI building capabilities. If @brambos would apply all his amazing UI design elements to Mozaic. Great stuff would be possible.

    Then there is https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/photon-au/id1441542979?l=en-GB

But this app seems abandoned. Which is a shame because with a few extra tweaks/features it could be really something.

if Atom 2 would just remove 50% of all the UI buttons and make it usuable for touch, then add a dedicated CC section, could also work. But i don’t see that happen as most developers don’t give touch interaction much priority. We have this great platform for intuitive multitouch interaction and still they design tiny UI’s for single action mouse clicking.

I am also surprised a better solution does not really exist in the ocean of auv3 plugins.

If i could code it would be the first thing.

Thank you for this solution pack you have presented here. I will check them out.
I helped a lot with ideas for Devicemeister Stepic. That would be a killer for ios.

  • Midimixer by 4pockets will do it.
it was designed as a mixer controller for AUM but the cc’s it sends are customisable, it does snap shots and records to a timeline.

  • @A_Fox
This looks very promised. Thank you.
