Linear Sequencer or DAW with time sig changes, quantize options, and multi track piano roll?
Fairly new to ipad music making. Looking for the above.
I know Auria Pro has those options but I probably want to avoid it. It seems a bit clunky.
Nanostudio2 would be perfect if it had multi track piano roll.
It doesn't need to be a fully editable multitrack pianoroll. Non editable ghost notes would be fine.
Things I've tried:
Logic - no multitrack pianoroll
Cubasis - no multitrack pianoroll, no time sig changes
N-track - no quantize options (only fully quantize or none)
MTS - Very clunky. Can't record into multitrack pianoroll.
FLSM - no time sig changes.
Nanostudio2 - no multi track piano roll.
Any ideas? Maybe one of the sequencers? Although I haven't looked into how to set them up to record yet.
Thanks.

Just to clarify, when you say "multi track piano roll", you're referring to the ability to see notes from one or more other tracks "ghosted" behind the track being edited. Correct?
Audio Evolution Mobile Studio has all these features. I was not sure in the multitrack piano roll, but just checked it and I can turn on the ghost notes.
Does Audio Evolution Mobile have time signature changes?
[edit] Yeh it does!
I didn't realize. Nice!
Yes correct
Thanks. Just checked it out. Not bad. Bit clicky. No auto record arm tracks. Can't record while playing back, have to stop playback and then record. Piano roll always opens zoomed in. (Maybe I missed some options though)
But it does have the requested features.
I have all DAW:s available on iPad, but not AEMS - but I gotten sooo curious so I had to buy this too!
Thanks guys for mentioning this - time to learn another DAW!
The ghost track feature in AEM seems a bit buggy. I can only get it to display a maximum of one track above the current one.
Edit. ok think I've worked it out. It doesn't work well with duplicated tracks. But if they're all new tracks it seems to work.
So… just curious. What’s the deal with ghosted notes? How does that work into your workflow to the point of being a deal breaker? Can’t you just copy/paste notes into a new track to have as reference (move them and octave or two out of range to get them out of the way? To make ghost notes in NS2, simply paste notes into a new track, select all, and drag the vertical drag handle on the left hand side until the velocity of all notes is 1 (lowest setting). Most patches won’t sound at that range, and those that do are barely noticeable.
Speed and overview. I could work with all notes on one track, but for busy arrangements I find it much better to have each layer (bass, melody, chordal etc) as a separate color. That way I can quickly sketch a track and have an overview of what's going on. And the fewer clicks that takes the better.
@Slam_Cut
its also very handy if you use midi and want to adjust the timing of instruments on different channels to gel together better.get a better groove, stop phasing etc..
Another issue with AEM is there seems to be no quantize amount option. There's a humanize option but it acts as a randomizer rather than the amount of quantize.
…ok…. I’m listening. So what is an example of this in a DAW? How are all notes displayed?
A photo would help me understand. Maybe I’m totally missing out on this. 🤔
One of my solutions for now on Logic. Notes colored by midi channel on a single track, but ideally it would be the different tracks. I can immediately see what’s going on and edit parts in relation to others.
I do something similar in NS2 by having all the drum notes on one track, then when the rhythm is how I want it, I copy the parts out to different tracks to fine tune the mix.
The example posted appears to be coordinating harmony; chords and I’m guessing bass. Time signature is 3/4? A G Maj ground bass and chords evolving over that. It all looks like it was played and not step entered. I’m guessing the use of this workflow in this example would be to tweak the timing of notes in chords as they evolve over the ground bass? Something like that?
