    Oh trust me, I'm that producer who loves to overexplain everything. 😂 Okay, so for starters, FLSM is easier on my iPhone's battery than NS2, Cubasis 3, Koala Sampler, etc. Even when I had an iPhone SE 2 and challenged myself to make a Lofi EP in FLSM, I found it was super easy on my SE's weak battery. Imagine how much more powerful my 14 Pro Max's battery is!

    Another advantage FLSM has over NS2 is audio clips. I can import sweep transitions and such very easily as well as import vocals if need be. (Then again, these days I'll create an instrumental in whatever app, import the instrumental into Cubasis 3 and do my vocal work in CB3.)

    I will say that one of the main disadvantages that FLSM has, basically the elephant in the room, is a lack of AUv3 support (currently). But the effects and synths within FLSM are pretty robust and plentiful. They even added a wow-and-flutter effect recently. Also, that "tuned EQ" is pretty damn baller.

    I usually mix into a limiter, and FLSM's limiter is really top notch for such tasks. I wouldn't use FLSM's limiter for mastering, but it works a treat just the same for mixing.

    Depending on your preferences, you'll either love or hate FLSM's piano roll editor. Then again, I find it easier to use than NS2's. FLSM remembers the length of the last note so the next note you place is the same length. It's perfect for forming sustained chords and other such tasks. With NS2, you have to constantly adjust the lengths of the notes as it defaults to whatever setting you have and doesn't remember the length of the last note. A bit of a pain.

    Another cool feature of FLSM's piano roll is the humanisation option. Select some notes and press "humanize", and the notes are adjusted ever so slightly to give the passage a human feeling. This is something I have to do "by hand" in NS2 when producing Lofi, which is a pain in the arse.

    Of course you can convert drum clips to MIDI clips and make adjustments to the timing in those as well, although last I recall you can't humanise MIDI clips for drums. (I'll have to double-check that as I can't remember accurately off-hand.)

    Then we get to automation. NS2's automation is bizarre to say the least. It utilises a combination of automation clips and track automation. The automation clips are strictly for automating macro knobs within its flagship Obsidian synth. The track automation is for its built-in effects. You can automate parameters of an AUv3 synth via macro knobs and automation clips. But you can't automate any parameters of an AUv3 effect with track automation in NS2? Wtf?

    Whereas FLSM utilises 100% automation clips for everything! And you don't have to rely on macro knobs to automate any of the parameters of its various synths. Just move a knob or a switch, press the 3-dot menu on the transport bar, press automation clip, and voila. You have an instant automation lane to automate that parameter.

    If FLSM ever does manage to implement some sort of AUv3 support, I bet it'll be very baller. But in the meantime, what FLSM does have is absolutely robust and pretty much a complete package. Well, an ALMOST complete package. I still want Grossbeat to make its way into FLSM in some capacity. :lol:

    Cheers mate. Glad you like it! :) I just absolutely love FLSM right now. Possibly my favourite music creation tool on iOS. Some workarounds are required to get other sounds into it due to lack of AUv3, but eh. So what? Just a small inconvenience to me. I'm still squeezing out a ton of music at lightning speed.

    I am. I'm well versed in most major apps, except Drambo of all things really. 😂 I plan to take @Gravitas up on his offer to teach me modular synthesis in miRack for a reasonable fee, and I can always translate that to Drambo later on whenever I wish.

    Thank you so much mate! :) Man, I will say a majority of modern EDM tends to kinda suck these days. Most of Spinnin Records' latest releases are just too damn fast of a BPM. I guess they're trying to recapture the 90s in BPM only, but I don't know. I dislike it. It isn't the EDM from 2016, a lot of which tried to recapture early 90s House, that's for sure. (2016 was an amazing year for EDM!)

    One would think the natural evolution of EDM would go towards that Late-90s Eurodance Rave sound. Oh god, I hope the "Hands-Up" Eurotrash dance genre doesn't rear its ugly head back into EDM. 😬 I mean, fine, I do love Cascada! Cascada is the best Hands-Up. A lot of it in part to Natalie being beautiful and with an amazing singing voice. 😂 But it seems that's the direction EDM is heading, and I dislike it. 😮‍💨

    Okay, time for me to retire today's "get off my lawn" rant and return back to created Bluegrass/Country EDM.

    They're not as limited as one may think if one digs deep enough on SoundCloud. However, regarding modern mainstream EDM genres, yes. It's limited. Compared this amazing cover from 2016...

    Guess I'm stuck in the 2010s and earlier. 😂 I just realised the "Man Enough" cover is 8 years old! 😭 Fml I'm no longer 32! 😂
