BeatHawk midi out
but is BeatHawk able to control other instruments through midi out?
Comments
Yes - although in my testing with AUM, while it sends MIDI out from recorded patterns, tapping on the pads does not reliably send out MIDI data. If anyone has it working consistently, please comment. There are some MIDI settings within the app which allow you to control how it handles MIDI input as well as MIDI output, and the important one is under Preferences .. MIDI/Audio ... "Enable MIDI Output." I've posted a few videos on BeatHawk features and MIDI input controlling it on YouTube, but didn't cover MIDI output.
ah ok, what I was interested in knowing before taking it, is if each pad sends to a separate midi channel (for example Pad 1 Midi Channel 2, Pad 2 Midi Channel 3, etc.)

If I wanted to read the manual I would have looked for it, don't you think...Furthermore, the manual doesn't mention midi out at all
⬆️ This.
@Samu I agree with what the OP said. Trying to sift through a manual that doesn't even have the answer to the OP's question takes time away from actually being creative.
Answering the question shows that the person actually cares enough to be helpful. It also builds a sense of community. Sorry if I'm pedantic, but honestly, if you don't want to give a helpful reply because you think it's "spoon-feeding" (a term often used in other music forums), just don't answer the OP. Keep the ABF a nice and helpful forum please. 🫶
For the record, I learned something new from @EdZAB today. Well said Ed.
It's like saying "search for the answer on Google"...so I might as well sign up on the forum
Exactly! That's the other go-to dismissive reply often seen on other music forums is "just use Google". It's like one has to preface their question with a disclaimer like "I've already searched Google, the manual, and the Saharah desert and still came up empty" in order to get it across that you're looking for an actual answer. 😮💨
It's not difficult for people to react kindly towards someone's question.
Here's a very short video showing BeatHawk MIDI out in action, created just now. If you are interested (or anyone else) in more tutorials of BeatHawk and how I understand it there is a series of three videos on my YouTube channel.
BeatHawk MIDI Out Quick Demo
You were really great! Thank you, and greetings from Italy 😁
So, pad 1 midi Channel 1, pad 2 midi Channel 2, etc. Right? (Meaned as midi out)
Thanks for understanding me. Unfortunately I am Italian, and I use Google Translate to speak
Yes - Exactly. Glad to help!
and you thought there wasn't a problem! They never fixed the midi out playback! It only works after recording a damn sequence!
