I'm very agreeable to a bit of metal.
Nice riffs. The drum sounds were very appropriate and they cut through the power chords nicely. 👍

  • Paulie never disappoints.
Thanks for another great track 😇

Thank you. I never played in a metal band. I’ve played in Fleetwood Mac and Heart tributes, Ukrainian folk, polka bands, country rock, jazz, easy listening, and most everything thing else. I figured, WTF. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I did! Thanks for listening.

No, thank you! I just told my wife what you said. She thinks I’m a rock star. I’m gonna get lucky tonight!

I just did… about 10 minutes ago. I think I’ll order a pizza. Peace, bro!

  • That shredded part around 1:06 made me think of Paul Gilbert, who has become one of my favorite players. Lots of good tone and sounds to compliment it. Two thumbs way up!

  • Not quite sure where anyone would put that in terms of metal sub-genres, but interesting from beginning to end. Metal can get very boring, but lots to listen to here!

    Thank you, Michael.

  • Cool! Nice with a bit of harder stuff for a change.

  • Some great guitar playing here! Love the grunty vocals too.

  • @Pxlhg @richardyot Thank you, gents. I don’t know what got into me, but I was just in the mood for some crunchy metal. I don’t play guitar anymore, so full credit goes to Riffler for that. I like the words, too! They sound like somebody puking after a night of heavy drinking. Been there, done that.

Hey Mac! I wasn’t familiar with Paul Gilbert but, as you know, I have been listening to him a lot lately. He reminds me of my old friend Tony Iovino, except a lot thinner. Is this a direction you would be interested in exploring? I have been playing around with Riffler, cutting up riffs into little pieces and assembling them into insanely complicated nonsense. It’s really fun. I’ll message you this weekend.

Always happy to make stuff with shred guitar noises.😁
If your Paul Gilbert road of discovery hasn't led you to this already, this one is one of my favorites. Not as much flamethrower guitar (although the solo gets a bit spicy around the 2 minute mark) but a fun song nonetheless.

Gimme a key and a tempo and any other guidance you deem essential.

  • I was hoping for AI vocals but it’s great how you use that. 🤓

  • Really enjoyed this, Paul. Excellento! (I thought you were in a slump?😉😎)

I actually try to avoid AI as much as possible. I think I once interacted with it while searching some information about a state government service. The ensuing chaos just strengthened my resolve to "be afraid... be very afraid". Thanks for listening.

Thanks, Mike. Everybody loves a good train wreck. This is actually what I churn out when I can't think of anything better. I added the "vocals" to make a subtle point. I did something similar a little while ago called Demolition Crazy. There was an actual underlying theme to that one, despite the heavy metal facade. I liked the lyrics. So much so that I posted them in the description on my SoundCloud page. I doubt if anybody read them, but it made me feel better. Have a good one!

  • My head hurts from all the banging… great use of Riffler (and everything else) ✌️

I just got in one of those moods that day. Riffler is great for that stuff. Hope your head stops hurting.
