I especially like how things got a little out of control about 3 minutes in and after
Thanks @myapologies. Just like my life.
Nice one. Wondering what it would sound like without the arp patch. A whole different experience, I’d guess.
I really love those Moog filters… they make the sound that gets out sound like they are fighting intense
back pressure. It’s muffled it a very musical way that defines analog synths for me. Nothing in the orchestra sounds like that… it’s got an envelope like an instrument gargling or gurgling. The tone escapes like a bubble breaking loose.
Your knowledge of harmony is what makes this different from so many other pieces using similar arrangements - I love how it veers towards dissonant intervals without really getting there and circles back to the main themes. Great choice of sounds throughout.
Thx @Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr i’ll give it a listen without the arps and post if worthwhile.
@McD yeah, they’re iconic and never grow old.
Thanks for the praise @michael_m. Any harmony skills i have are totally intuitive. That’s why I consider myself an improviser, not a real composer.
I’ve heard this groove from you before but that’s okay 👍🏻
@LinearLineman Hey buddy. It’s been a minute since I’ve visited the AB forum but there has been multiple instances of post from you that I’ve enjoyed and that have inspired me to return to iosland. This is that also. Nice one.
@MrStochastic yeah, I’ve been remastering tracks from a few yrs ago. I’ve learned some stuff since then.
Thanks @Morgman73 it makes me feel good to know I inspired you. Greatly appreciated!
I second the inspiration vote 🙏
Thank you @GeoTony i’m glad you feel it that way.
