Dissecting The Flower Two Point One
A few days ago, @id_23 posted an excellent track called Dissecting The Flower. I commented that a few bits over the top might sound good. With that, he graciously gifted me a copy and told me to have at it. I posted version 2.0, but wasn’t really satisfied with it, so I went back to the drawing board and did version 2.1. He mentioned that he was interested in hearing how it developed, so I left version 2.0 for comparison. There is a little surprise in version 2.1
I hope you like it, bro. I have no idea what category this would fit into!

Love the almost Cocteau ish guitar vibe…. And the lyrics are spot on!
Great work….
Adds some real interest to the track!
Thanks for having a blast!
Nice! I got FSOL vibes overall from all those cool rhythmic bleeps and bloops.
Those metal riffs were great and definitely suited the style/feel of the vocals.
I missed the original so I'll go searching.
I’m an old guy. Who is FSOL?
Future Sound Of London.
I recommend listening to Lifeforms and Dead Cities for starters.
It's amazing how music, like flowers, can go through a process of growth and transformation. Just as a flower blooms in stages, your track seems to have blossomed with each version, refining and adding new layers of complexity. The surprise in version 2.1 feels like that unexpected burst of color in a garden—a fresh element that adds a whole new dimension. It’s fascinating to see how creativity, much like nature, can evolve beautifully over time.

Also @jonheath exactly!
You have a great range, my friend.
@jonheath Thank you, my friend. I have come to really enjoy these collaborations. I don’t play in a band anymore and this is the next best thing. I often miss gigging, but don’t think I could handle the late nights. This little iPad is pretty great. It’s almost always there when I need it and it does mostly what I tell it to do, unlike a real band with humans. I have to confess, I miss the humans. Have a great night!
Our other appliances are pretty good, too. Our refrigerator is much larger than the two of us need, but we always keep it chock full of our favorite goodies. The door on the dishwasher is getting a bit sketchy, though. Like Roseann Rosanna Danna says, if it’s not one thing, it’s another.
Peace and joy from both of us, to both of you.
I let myself in for that. ⛩️🚪!
