headphone amp. portable and battery powered ?

does anyone know of a portable headphone amp? I have a pair of nice open back headphones i love. but they require more power than normal headphones to function correctly. I have desktop headphone amps. but does anyone know of a portable version? battery powered ?

I was looking into this last year and this one kept getting very highly recommended:

Amazon and some other places have them in stock at long last, thinking about getting one for my LCD-XC’s.

  • I remember buying a cheap no-name one from Amazon a few years ago (there are quite a few on offer there), but it was surprisingly weak and more predictably, noisy. The battery capacity was pretty small, too.

Wow, what a cool little device! It even comes with a fully parametric 8-band PEQ for headphones correction 😍
    Thanks!

I'm using the Pro-Ject Dac Box E Mobile (USB-C bus powered) on my Mac, primarily bought it to get 32bit audio for sound design in Ableton without having to buy another audio interface. On the German Amazon it sells for under $100.

Having 32bit (if the DAW supports it) can be huge if you resample a lot because you don't have to worry about clipping, you can always bring the resampled (and visually clipped) audio back by lowering the clip gain of the recorded audio!
