IMPC pro sampling time?
How long can a sample be recorded for to any one pad?
Comments
that's a good question I'm not sure. I've recorded quite long samples. it might be dependent on how much space you have available. but sampling is a breeze, as well as deleting samples.
thanks for testing that's good to know,
Yep. Definitely 30 seconds. Then it stops.
But you can import samples that are much longer than 30 seconds. (So you could record a longer sample in Audioshare and then copy and paste into iMPC Pro for slicing - which i've done).
Good idea Matt thanks for that.
yep cause i'm usually pasting whole tracks into impc pro and then going to work on them
Hmm, I was wondering what I would do with this and it sounds like it might be great for resampling tracks from the Korg M50 / Karma.. This might be fun.
I usually record they workstation through a Griffin studio connect into Cubasis, should this be that straight forward?
that's something you'll have to try to know for sure, or post a thread asking if any griffin users also have the impc pro and if it works with the griffin cause that is unfortunately one of the few things very wrong with this app, it has problems with some audio cards and retronyms has not clarified anything about this issue, it's very frustrating…….
and yes , even in spite of all of the things you've read as minuses this app is the most fun you can have for the sampling enthusiast on iOS besides the Samplr app!
...
There's a note repeat function
Not sure if this has been discussed yet but when I paste in a long sample firstly I can't hear anything when I audition the sample in the chop lab and when I've chopped the sample (blind) to pads they play back a very short (50ms?) fragment, that's it. Not sure what's happening here. I've tried both 1hit and hold but no luck. Any ideas?
Edit: I've pasted in shorter loops from dm1 without this issue.
Ok, got it. I think the original file was AIFF so conversion to WAV sorted it.
I'm not sure what's happening but the overall sound with couple of tracks running is really funny sounding. I've played with the compressor on the main output but there's no difference. It sounds full of minute artifacts, no proper crackling just muddy. Does anyone have the same experience?
I read your post in the other thread too, wish I could help but I haven't experienced the muddiness, have you reached out to dan on fb, he's been around lately, he's bound to help!
did you figure out the muddiness issue?
