Arméns Musikkår/Swedish Army Music Corps
Hey friends!
One of my favorite music genres is actually military or marching music, not just different electronic genres.
The first piece they are playing is Svensk Fallskärmsjägarmarsch (The Swedish Airborne March), and is one of the most beautiful marching music pieces I know. It is not that internationally known. Listen closely to all the different stems, contributing to a harmonic masterpiece.
Enjoy!

nothing like a bit of brass band music on a Sunday.
Yeah, wakes you up doesn’t it!

If you like this kind of music, then have a look for “Edinburgh Military Tattoo” on YouTube. Lots of Brass, Pipes and Drums from all over the world.
When I was a kid my dad used to take me and my brother to see the Band of the Royal Marines (he was a marine himself before I was born, but not a musician) rehearse every Sunday morning. They basically opened up a strip along the edge of the parade ground for people to stand and watch, and there was always an audience.
That is indeed a good one. Got a very soft spot for bagpipes!

Sweden can be proud about their Army Music Corps. Unfortunately not all countries seem to be similarly blessed when it comes to their military bands….:

Ouch! There would be severe consequences in some countries if their military bands played like that!
