Just finished listening to your podcast Colin and I thought it was great, brought back so many memories.
John Peel , Whispering Bob and TOGWT were big influences on me. The Free Trade Hall and Hardrock were also my also my destinations of choice, ELP, Focus, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Shakti, Family and then later more jazz influences such as Keith Jarrett and Mike Westbrook… also Manchester Poly and Salford Uni where I saw Gary Boyle, Sad Cafe and Nucleus etc… those were the days.
I’d totally forgotten about Greenslade but within about 30 seconds of listening the whole track came flooding back to me.
BJH Mockingbird is a classic. Most of the band lived in the villages a couple of miles away from me and I was at school with one of the members of a later reincarnation of the band.
Argus is one of my favourite albums of all time , great choice !
I enjoyed all of your music, so much variety, all performed to an incredibly high standard.
I also had no idea you had done so many albums with Doug. I’ve added them to my listening list.
Altogether a very pleasurable listen. Many thanks for posting 🙏
Thank you so much for listening, and the feedback, @GeoTony !
I remember seeing Toyah and Manfred Mann's Earth Band at Salford Uni. Maxwell Hall!
We could have been in the same crowd for some gigs!
Ooh yes, Manfred mans earth band, I was there !
