Ableton Note… looking for workflow idea that don’t actually include Ableton
Hey all… So I’m really liking Note, however because it’s such a walled garden I’m a bit stuck on how to use it once I have something I like.
I totally get it’s intended to be a gateway drug for Ableton on desktop. And I know they have the rudimentary export where it will run down the scenes/rows, which I’ve just been chopping in a audio editor…
But I’m wondering if anyone else has come up with any interesting uses or workflows considering the lack of basic IAA?
RemixLive is kinda close, but I find the lack of instruments beyond one shot samples that you can play chromaticly kinda limiting. @Mixvibes adding auv hosting for the sequencer instruments and fx would be killer!

Import your loops into blocs wave or launchpad or koala!
Have you figured out how to deal with fx tails that bleed/cut across pattern boundaries?
I’m kinda treating it just like a sampling source in koala… then the only one I have to clear samples with is me.😃
Mainly just looking for anyone doing something less “obvious”…
I think Loopy can handle those.
It does indeed. You use the trim handles to set the main loop. The part after the main loop is can be set to play when looping or only when the loop stops.
I treat Note like a clip launcher and use screen record to capture a performance. But the other suggestions mentioned sound pretty cool too.
