  • Couldn't figure out the new soundbank...is it be a specific name ?

There isn't really one " new " bank, just tons of new presets sprinkled throughout...

Wow, alot of new stuff especially arps and sequences! I am impressed and I hope they keep coming. Ii wonder how many are new? I know there are a whole bunch.

  • Do you want an exact figure?

  • No, depending on what I eat daily it does change from time to time and I am fine with it the way it is.

  • Updated again

  • Does anyone know why iSEM updates frequently but last update for iMini was half year ago? They are from same company, but have very different policy. Furthermore, iSEM has full functions from desktop version, but iMini lacks so many of them. I really like the map feature in Minimoog.

  • Seller is Arturia but development was done by two different companies

  • Yep, iSem is developed by Tempo Rubato, who also develops their own NLog synths as well as Nave for Waldorf. iMini is developed by Retronyms.

  • Retronyms , say no more. I have never encounterred a company with their to hell with the consumer attitude! I really do not believe they care what we think at all.

  • I've gotten to the point when folks here say Retronyms I hear Seinfeld saying Newman!...

  • Ha, so true. Though I must give credit to Jay (@mana) for engaging with us on iProphet. Seems like a real stand-up fellow.

  • Haha +1@JohnmyGoodyear

    +1@telecharge

  • Regarding iMini - I asked Retronyms around the 9th and they replied: "Right now we've got a number of different things were trying to update. So currently no set date for iMini, but we are definitely aware of it and want to get it fixed soon. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for checking in."

  • Think in order to get iMini MIDI fixed, we have to bug Arturia. Then they'll make a call (with a check) to retronyms to get it done.

  • I don't think so, arturia's customer service has never once answered anything for me about imini, and I have made a number of inquiries. I think they want nothing to do with iOS, they appear to just want someone else to implement their code. Their stuff sounds amazing but they're not known for their support services.

  • True. Arturia are smashingly silent on support in general and (seemingly) iOS especially.

I think that basically means it's not going to get fixed. Retronyms are hired guns in this situation (best I can tell anyway) and they are, understandably, not going to work for free.

Last time I contacted Arturia about iMini (September 2013 I think it was) and the stuck MIDI note problem, they did eventually get back to me in June 2014, 2 months after Retronyms fixed it and released the update. They said they could not replicate the issue. (Well Ummmm. Yeah! :-) )

  • I had posted in another thread, but Arturia replied to me that ETA on imini iOS8 / audiobus SDK 2 was December. They did also say that ISEM estimate was Nov (I think) and it showed up the next day though!

  • I had midi problems with imini, so i contacted them. Got:

This is not a common issue as I haven't come across similar case.
Does your Midi Controller work fine with other synth plugins ?

    What can i say more?

  • Does the update still work if you're on os 7.1.2. Or only os8 ?

  • ^^ hehe, I was about to ask the same question. Thanks @Flo26

  • thanks Flo

  • What a disappointment. iMini is one of my favorites on iPad.

  • I still don't get why Arturia switched back to Retronyms after the obvious improvements in iSem and much better support from Tempo Rubato.Maybe Retronyms offered the better deal.Or Mr.Rubato don't wanted because it sucks to work with Arturia? ;)

  • I really want iProphet, and I've heard that Retronyms is also working on a phase distortion synth (unh!). But their involvement will probably prevent me from buying both.

  • I don't know tigerperson, the iProphet makes good noise...
