Pure Acid drum MIDI out in AUM

I wanted to examine the actual timing of a drum pattern in Pure Acid, because it uses swing (at least I think it does), but it’s not clear to me how the swing actually works. It seems different than swing elsewhere, like Octachron or Nodes.

So I routed the Drum MIDI out to the input of Atom, hit record, and… nothing.

I tried a few other things, and it seems that the Drum MIDI output just doesn’t work. Bass MIDI does. But not Drum.

Is this a known thing, or has it fallen victim to older app/newer iOS syndrome?

You need to turn it on in the standalone before it works in the AU. Look in the standalone’s midi settings

I recall seeing that in another discussion, and I’ve done so. But it still doesn’t produce drum midi in AUM.

    Edit:
Oh wait! Wrong setting! I was looking at the top of the menu, which enables midi in general, but there’s another setting specifically for drums at the bottom.
