Could we add a "Collaboration Corner" Category

Hi @Michael @thesoundtestroom I hope you all are well. I'm wondering, is it possible to add a collaboration corner category to this forum? I'm thinking it'd be a nice way for people to start a thread and, if anyone is interested in collaborating with that person, they can work it out in the dedicated thread. Not sure, what do you think?

I think that would be a great to have to foster collaborations.

  • Good idea 👍
There's certainly been some amazing and productive collabs here recently.
Would be cool to have a dedicated space for handling that.

  • Exactly what I was thinking. Many excellent collabs have been released recently, and it'd be fun to have a space for us to collaborate in.

  • Great idea!

  • Hey everybody, great idea @jwmmakerofmusic. I have been kind of stuck for awhile now and would love to shake things up/sharpen my skills with a challenge. I don’t have local musical friends and have never done this before. Reaching out is the last thing I want to do and feels totally against my nature, so that is what I decided to do.

This is most of my output thus far, but I’m changing the name, among other things

I don’t sing or play real instruments.

I’m all iOS and gravitate toward AUM and Loopy Pro, with more experience on the former. I don’t always listen to tons of music, love the Cocteau Twins, currently into these tracks

    (entire album)

Also repetitive ambient/electronic music that makes me feel a certain way, Aphex Twin and Zomby come to mind, Max Richter, George Benson, the ( ) album by Sigur Ros, the band Mansun…for me, the genre is less important than feeling and mood
That is probably enough, perhaps I overshare.

Please hit me up if you are interested, feel free to send me a message, no expectations or pressure, learning to expand the realm of possibility and have fun

    Thank you!

  • Great Idea.. also a radio/stream station of AB members songs..

  • I'm all for it. I used to belong to several sites (now defunct) where we used to do these collaborations for fun.

  • Glad to see others get on board with the idea.

  • And I’m so glad I inspired it ;) ….but well Jim know where this came from “kollboration korner”

    my good ABFriend :)

Thanks mate. I wanted to catch up with you, but you have me on "ignore" for some reason. 🤔 Not sure what that's about.

Edit - I unignored you. Not even sure what that feature does ??? ( My bad )

I don’t know why it’s on shaded out either Jim

I see your posts but I have to click on them

That's rather odd, mate. Well, I'm sure there's a way to unignore. Have to click on a person's profile, click on the blue person button or "edit" or something, and then "unignore". Strange indeed. :) Miss you mate.

All good mate, lol. Basically it greys out what a person posts in public, and it prevents someone from DMing in private.

  • I think that is an outstanding idea. I don’t play in bands anymore, and it’s the next best thing. I’ve done a few and it was always a pleasure.
